Formula & how it works

Business Zakat is on net zakatable trade wealth:

  • Zakatable assets = cash + bank + inventory (sale value) + receivables
  • Net wealth = assets − liabilities due
  • Zakat = 2.5% × net wealth (if it meets nisab)

Example calculations

Example: PKR 1,000,000 cash + PKR 3,000,000 stock + PKR 500,000 receivables − PKR 1,500,000 payables = PKR 3,000,000 net. Zakat at 2.5% is PKR 75,000. Enter your business figures above.
