How is gold value adjusted for purity?

Pure gold is 24K. 22K gold is 22/24 (≈91.6%) pure, 21K is 21/24, and 18K is 18/24. We multiply the 24K value by the purity factor.

Where does the gold price come from?

The calculator pre-fills a recent reference rate (derived from the international gold price and the USD/PKR rate) and shows when it was last updated. Because Pakistan gold rates vary by city, jeweller and purity, enter today's actual local 24K rate per tola for an exact value.

Are making charges included?

Only if you add them. Making charges are a percentage on top of the metal value and vary by jeweller and design.
