Formula & how it works

The salary tax calculator works in three steps:

  • Annual taxable salary = monthly salary × 12 (or your annual figure)
  • Income tax = fixed amount of your slab + rate × (income − slab threshold), plus a 9% surcharge above PKR 10,000,000
  • Monthly tax = annual tax ÷ 12
