FAST aggregate calculator

FAST-NUCES does not use one formula. Engineering programmes weight the admission test at 33%, HSSC at 50% and SSC at 17%. Computing and business programmes weight the test at 50%, HSSC at 40% and SSC at 10%. Unlike NUST and UET, FAST uses HSSC Part-I and Part-II together where both are available, falling back to Part-I alone if Part-II is not.

How this calculation works

An admission aggregate converts each of your results into a percentage, multiplies it by the weight the institution assigns to it, and adds the weighted figures together. The weights are set by the admitting authority and are not negotiable — they are what makes one university's merit list rank candidates differently from another's.

FAST National University of Computer & Emerging Sciences uses 50% admission test + 40% HSSC + 10% SSC for Computing (AI, CS, Cyber Security, Data Science, Software Engineering) and Business (BBA, Accounting & Finance, Business Analytics, FinTech) in 2026. The calculator applies exactly those weights, shows the arithmetic for every component, and checks any hard eligibility floors separately — because a candidate can post a competitive aggregate and still be rejected for missing a minimum.

Steps the calculator follows

  • Normalise each component to a percentage: marks obtained ÷ total marks.
  • Multiply that percentage by the component's weight.
  • Add every weighted contribution together.
  • Compare each gated component against its eligibility floor.

Rules and exceptions that apply

  • Computing and business share these weightings; FAST ENGINEERING uses a different 33/50/17 split.
  • Some calculator and coaching sites publish a '50% Intermediate + 50% NU test' formula with a 'Matric × 0.9 substitution' for BSCS. That is NOT on FAST's official eligibility page, which states 50% test + 40% HSSC + 10% SSC (last updated 3 July 2026). CalcuPK uses the official figure.
  • Computing requires Mathematics. SAT minimum 1200 for computing, 1000 for business.
  • You choose one test — FAST-NUCES test, SAT, or NTS-NAT — and it fills the same 50% slot. FAST does not publish how SAT or NAT scores are normalised into it, so enter your score as a percentage of its own scale.

Why your actual result may differ

Totals vary between boards, equivalence certificates change the marks used, and admission policies are revised between cycles. Quotas, category seats, campus choice and the strength of a given year's applicant pool all affect whether an aggregate is enough. This calculator produces your score under the published formula — it does not predict admission.

Exception case

Strong marks, still ineligible

Excellent board results but an entry-test score just under the pass mark. The aggregate looks competitive and the application still fails, which is why eligibility is checked separately from merit.

  • Entry-test scores are usually valid for a limited period — check the current cycle's rule.

Timeline. Application, test and merit-list dates are set each admission cycle by the university. Confirm the current schedule on the official portal — last year's dates do not carry over.

  • Applying the 50/40/10 computing formula to an engineering programme, where 33/50/17 applies.
  • Using HSSC Part-I only, when FAST uses both parts where available.
  • Assuming a SAT score converts to the test slot on a published scale — FAST does not publish one.
  • Applying to computing without Additional Mathematics as a pre-medical student.

Key terms

Admission aggregate
